HOUSEWIVES OF SYDNEY

Two weeks ago my sister (Isabel) and I invited two other friends (Genny & Lina) for a catch up brunch. We hadn't seen each other for months. My sister wanted to go to Oxford Street Paddington.  We walked, went in and out of shops, laughed, mucked about and then had brunch at Mickey's. It was great to catch up and have some laughs so we decided that each of us would decide where to go every fortnight and make it an on going thing. It was Genny's turn to pick where to take us next fortnight.

Yesterday Genny took us to Coogee Beach, it was a Glorious day there was not a cloud in the sky. We found a cafe called Barzuro right infront of the beach, we ordered bacon & egg on toast with coffees and Lina ordered pancakes. We had a bit of a laugh and took some photos in there. Then we walked along the street and checked out some of the boutiques. On the way home we stopped off at Alexandria factory outlets and had a bit of a look. Then went home in time to pick up the kids from school.

Next fortnight it's MY turn to decide where to take the girls so I need some help and some ideas from anyone, where to take them or what to do in Sydney of course. I was thinking maybe to actually do a fun activity something we wouldn't normally do..... what do you think?? please HELP me guys!

MY FACIAL

It's been a few years now since I went out and had a facial, since it's on my life list I decided today was the day to have it. So I went and got a facelift & firming facial. I layed down closed my eyes and she started to cleanse my face, it felt so good as she massaged my face then she wiped my face with a nice hot towel and put a mask on and left it for about 15min. She wiped it off with a hot towel once again next she just put cream upon cream and massged my entire face and put pressure on different points of my face it felt amazing, calming and relaxing. Then she put the steam on my face for  few minutes, then with tweezers or some sort of tool she began to squeeze blackheads which  a hurt a little ( I didn't like that part) after that she put this firming peel off mask on and left it for another 15min she massaged my head and shoulders. It was ready to wash off with a hot towel again and I was done. My face felt amazing, soft and was glowing.

HOW TO MAKE A CARNIVAL MASK

My son needed to make a Carnival Mask for a school assignment, so I thought it would be a good idea to share how he made it because we couldn't find any easy to make masks online.

* Firstly he looked up some carnival masks on google images to get some different ideas.

* Then he drew his own design on cardboard.

* Cut it out

* Then he spreaded some plaster over all the cutout making sure it was thick (otherwise mask would be too thin)  and he added a little extra to make a nose that sticks out.



* Wait til it completely dries.

* Then he painted it black all over.

* He put some sticky sparkly dots to give it design and colour.

* Then he attached some coloured feathers on with sticky tape.

* He brushed pva glue over all the mask even on top of the stickers to make sure they stick and also makes it shine.

End result one happy and proud boy!

I MET OPRAH WINFREY

Wow!!! I will never forget 2010 when I registered for Oprah Winfrey tickets for Sydney show. Never in a million years did I think I was going to get them, one day I opened my email and it said "Great news you have been selected to go to the Oprah show in Sydney." I was shocked i started trembling and screaming with excitement I just couldn't believe my luck.

I chose my sister to come with me, so a couple days before the show we went to The Opera House to collect our tickets, after collecting them we were walking past the stage which was getting constructed for the Oprah show, we stopped to have a look after 5 mins this black car drives in and stops almost in front of my sister and I and guess who came out of it YES I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT !!!! OPRAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and also her best friend GAYLE KING.

We couldn't believe our eyes we had Oprah standing there, we called her over and she slowly walked over to us and shook hands with us, we were soooooo star struck that we only took pictures of her...we didn't even think at the time to get into the actual picture with Oprah, which I soooooo regret now. She is so nice and so beautiful up close. 
We also took video I'll try and put that up also.
I love you Oprah, I will never forget that day.
